Since our special purpose at LWHA is the care of older animals, we have more mature pets than young ones. But you'll find these 'grown-ups' ready to brighten your life in the way only a loving pet can. They're past their 'high energy phase', are calmer and more manageable and ready to settle down in their new life with you.

Many pets lose their homes when their owners die or become disabled. Family and friends are not always able to take on the responsibility, and the pet is left to an uncertain fate. By enrolling and contributing to the Continuing Care Program, owners are secure in the knowledge that when they are no longer able to care for their pet, the pet will receive the love, care and attention it has always enjoyed.
